Judy and her friend Mitzi plan a party on the Foster front porch, motivated by their lack of dates, and decide to invite only boys in hopes of having their undivided attention. As the evening progresses, Judy's mother, unaware of her daughter's plans, is busy arranging a formal party for women, leading to chaos when both parties coincide. Confusion reigns as Judy tries to manage the situation, juggling the expectations of her mother, the arriving boys, and the guests at her mother’s party. Mr. Mayworm, the harpist, struggles to bring his harp into the house, adding to the confusion. Ultimately, the shared party turns into a humorous blend of socializing and entertainment as guests dance and enjoy the unexpected crossover, leading Judy's father to realize that the evening has provided a rare opportunity for everyone to relax and have fun together. The chaos culminates in an impromptu bunny hug, which pleases Judy’s mother and leaves everyone reveling in the unexpected joy of the evening.
