A Date With Judy - Surprise Party

Judy Foster is excitedly preparing for a surprise party that her friends are throwing in her honor. After overhearing their plans at Scully's drugstore, she decides to arrange everything from hiring an orchestra to getting a wedding cake, which she manages to procure at a bargain price from Mr. Newman, who is left with an unwanted cake after a bride jilted her groom. Judy's plans involve a butler, Mr. Van Twine, who takes his role seriously, adding comedic elements to the preparations. As the evening progresses, Judy's family and friends become entangled in the chaos of the event, leading to misunderstandings about who the party is truly for. Eventually, it is revealed that another girl, Ruth, is also having a surprise party that night, which Judy initially thought was for herself. Despite the mix-up, the party is lively, and Judy enjoys dancing with the members of the orchestra, ending with a lighthearted twist about her next date.
