The Cronin Matter Ep 4

Originally Aired: December 8, 1955 Johnny Dollar #279, "The Cronin Matter Ep 4," Johnny Dollar finds himself in a deadly game of cat and mouse as a violent storm rages around the Cronin estate. When someone cuts the phone line, trapping Johnny and handyman Shorty Weber inside with no way to call for help, Jason Prell reveals his true intentions by taking shots at them through the darkness. Armed and desperate, Prell knows Johnny has figured out his scheme involving the half-million dollar necklace. Johnny ventures out into the storm-soaked grounds, using the thunder and lightning as cover while Shorty provides suppressing fire. As Johnny closes in on Prell's position near a tall pine tree, the confrontation reaches its violent climax. Back at the house, Johnny retrieves the hidden necklace and checks on the elderly Dolly Cronin, who remains blissfully unaware of the night's deadly events. She reminisces about her late husband Barnaby and speaks warmly of her trusted friend Jason Prell, creating a poignant contrast with the grim reality Johnny now faces. As Dolly admires her precious necklace one last time before drifting off to sleep, Johnny is left contemplating how the truth will shatter her cherished memories. Become a supporter of this podcast
