About this episode

Originally Aired: May 4, 1943 In Fibber McGee & Molly #363, "Numerology," Fibber visits Professor Cypher, a numerologist, seeking to bring his life into harmony with the numerical vibrations of the universe. The professor determines that Fibber must change his name to achieve success, rechristening him "Homer K. Frink" - a name with eleven letters that supposedly holds the key to wealth and happiness. Fibber eagerly embraces his new identity and pays the professor ten dollars for this life-changing advice. Molly remains skeptical throughout, refusing to be called Mrs. Frink and tolerating her husband's latest scheme with weary patience. As the newly renamed Homer Frink stumbles down the stairs and encounters the Old Timer on the street, he enthusiastically insists everyone use his new name. The Old Timer warns him about someone else who changed their name with disastrous results, but Fibber remains undeterred, convinced his numerologically correct new identity will finally bring him the fortune and success he's always sought.
