About this episode

Originally Aired: August 5, 1938 The Lone Ranger #862, "Four Day Ride," tensions mount as Chief Thundercloud faces pressure from the ambitious Red Crow to lead their tribe into war against Gray Wolf's people. After Standing Bear is murdered by Gray Wolf's braves—witnessed by two suspicious white men named Bart Daly and Shorty Crane—Red Crow demands immediate retaliation. Thundercloud, seeking peace, sends Tonto with an ultimatum: Gray Wolf must surrender the killers within two weeks by sundown, or the tribe will go to war. The Lone Ranger accompanies his faithful companion on this crucial mission, hoping to prevent bloodshed between the two tribes. Meanwhile, Bart and Shorty reveal their true colors as they conspire with Red Crow to ensure war happens. They plant seeds of ambition in Red Crow's mind, suggesting that leading a successful war party is his path to becoming chief. The scheming trio hatches a dangerous plan to prevent the Lone Ranger and Tonto from returning in time with Gray Wolf's response, setting the stage for a desperate race against the two-week deadline.
