About this episode

Originally Aired: January 13, 1939 The Lone Ranger #931, "Swindler Claims To Be Father," A stranger named Ben Higgins arrives at rancher Moss Bowman's home with papers claiming to be the biological father of Milly, the young girl Bowman adopted fifteen years ago. Higgins demands custody of his daughter, but when Bowman offers him fifteen thousand dollars to relinquish his parental rights, the supposed father quickly accepts. The situation takes a dramatic turn when ranch foreman Wolf Cutler recognizes Higgins as a cattle rustler and convicted criminal who served time in Yuma prison. Before Bowman can fully expose the fraud, Higgins escapes with a threatening warning. Days later, Wolf Cutler and his gang kidnap Milly, forcing the Lone Ranger and Tonto to intervene. The masked rider pursues the outlaws as they flee with the terrified girl, leading to a dangerous chase that threatens to reveal a deeper conspiracy. The Lone Ranger must rescue Milly and uncover the true connection between the swindler claiming to be her father and the men who now hold her captive.
