About this episode
Originally Aired: January 20, 1942 Fibber McGee & Molly #310, "Mrs Uppington's Window Part 2," Fibber finds himself in quite a predicament as he tries to determine whether he actually threw a rock through Mrs. Uppington's window or merely dreamed the whole incident. His solution is to recreate the exact circumstances of that fateful evening, starting with duplicating the enormous meal he consumed. Molly dutifully agrees to prepare the feast again, which includes everything from pre-dinner snacks of olives, ham, and a pineapple soda to a full dinner of pork chops, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and upside-down cake. Meanwhile, young Teeny stops by and reveals a troubling clue: Fibber had borrowed Willie Toops' slingshot last summer to deal with a noisy cat, making him a prime suspect in the window-breaking case. As Fibber prepares to reenact his dream by wearing the same purple pajamas and retracing his steps, the mystery deepens. Mrs. Uppington herself pays a visit to 79 Wistful Vista, leaving Fibber anxious about whether she's come to confront him about her broken window or for some other purpose entirely.
