About this episode

Originally Aired: October 6, 1942 In Fibber McGee & Molly #333, "Otis Cadwalader Is In Town," Fibber works himself into a jealous fury when he learns that Otis Cadwalader, one of Molly's old high school beaus, is passing through town. When Otis calls from the railroad station asking to visit, Fibber erupts with indignation, ranting about the wealthy suitor with his raccoon coat and Stutz Bearcat who once courted Molly. While Molly politely explains they can't visit this time, Fibber fumes about the "dirty little snob" and makes it clear he wants nothing to do with his old rival. Despite Fibber's protests, Molly remains gracious, even rushing to fix her hair when someone knocks at the door. The tension builds as Fibber prepares to give Cadwalader the cold shoulder, only to find young Teeny at the door instead. After enduring one of Teeny's typically convoluted jokes about fire engines, Fibber continues his bitter tirade against Otis, dismissing him as brainless and recalling how Otis was voted handsomest in their senior class only because he counted the votes himself. Just as the McGees prepare to head out to a movie, another visitor arrives at their door.
